Effective management of Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ) is a key priority for Linde and is embedded in our corporate culture.
We have a SHEQ goal : ‘At Linde we are driven to ensure no harm comes from our actions to people, the environment or the communities in which we operate.’ This goal guides our actions in all issues relating to SHEQ and inspires us to make the right decisions, take the appropriate measures and behave in a responsible manner. It ensures that at Linde, people always come first.
Not harming the environment means more than just adhering to legal guidelines and internal corporate standards. It involves actively doing everything possible to mitigate any ecological damage resulting from our business activities. That is why Linde, as a company, is committed to reducing its carbon footprint by improving efficiency and utilizing resources in a responsible manner.
Management System
The Linde Documents And Processes (LiDAP) is a global system for identifying core requirements and best practices in SHEQ with the ultimate aim of achieving world-class safety standards. LiDAPÂ provides our employees with immediate, global access to information and expertise across Linde and the elimination of duplicate tasks due to parallel systems at a regional and local level. LiDAPÂ also promotes environmental protection, sustainability and process efficiency.
Certification – proven safety and environmental protection
The internal environmental and safety audits run by our SHEQ department comply with major internationally recognized standards. Linde Malaysia's Bukit Raja, Pasir Gudang and Westport sites are certified to ISO 14001:2015 Environment Management System.
Halal Certification
Various plants in Linde Malaysia are certified Halal by the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (JAKIM) for the production of food-grade gases such as CO2 Compressed (Sureflow), Nitrogen Compressed (Food), Liquid CO2, Liquid Nitrogen, Gaseous Hydrogen and Dry Ice that are supplied to food & beverage customers.
Food Safety System Certification FSSC 22000
Linde Malaysia Kerteh CO2 producing plants are certified to FSSC 22000 scheme in response to customers' expectations for a recognised standard on food safety management system. The FSSC 22000 scheme is proudly recognised by the GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative). GFSI recognition demonstrates that the scheme meets the highest standards globally leading to international food industry acceptance. The FSSC plays a key role in ensuring safe and high-quality food products are delivered to customers.
Quality Management System ISO 9001:2015
From delivering high purity gases to providing innovative services, Linde Malaysia have established a Quality Management System culture that is recognised with certification to ISO 9001:2015 Quality System standard for the manufacture, refilling, distribution of industrial, electronic, aviation, medical, analytical and food & beverage applications.
The Remote Operating Centre (ROC) located in Hicom, Shah Alam, Selangor, which manages the remote operation and control of the major industrial gases plant in South and East Asia, is also certified to ISO 9001.
The design and installation of Ultra High Purity (UHP) Gas Supply System and Total Utilities Hook Up which is under the Electronic Engineering Services (EES) division is also certified to ISO 9001.

Laboratory Management System ISO/IEC 17025:2017
Innovative with a pioneering spirit, Linde Malaysia is the first gas company to be accredited with ISO/IEC 17025:2017 Laboratory Management Standard for its Special Gases Laboratory focusing on quality control test methods for gas analysis and testing. This accreditation by the Standards Malaysia Department is based on the compliance to the standards for:
- Competent and proficient laboratory personnel
- Accurate and precise test methods
- Reliable and traceable test results
The range of inspection and test methods conducted in Linde Malaysia Special Gases Laboratory include tests on:
- Calibration Gases
- Purified Gases
- Gas Mixtures
Practicing the principle of setting targets and objectives, establishing quality system planning and conducting periodical audits and reviews, Linde Malaysia Quality Management System is set to move forward with continual improvements that meet the customers' expectations.
Participation in associations
We work closely with industrial associations and non-profit organisation to raise safety standards in the production, transport, storage and use of industrial gases.
Linde Malaysia is the member of MIGMA (Malaysian Industrial Gas Manufacturers Association) and FMM (Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers).
Linde Malaysia is a member of the Chemical Industries Council of Malaysia or also known as CICM, the umbrella body representing the various sub-sector chemical groups following a restructuring exercise in year 2001 to establish a stronger and better representation of the Malaysian chemical industry.
Linde Malaysia is the member of Malaysian Society for Occupational Safety & Health (MSOSH) to enhance and promote OSH in all workplaces and in all industries in support of the Government’s policy on OSH.
